ANNOUNCEMENT:
The
Leadership of Relevant Church is pleased to announce that the State of New
York has reissued new policy concerning the rental of its state
buildings. This new policy (issued 4-07) removes
discriminatory speech against churches. We are pleased that the State of New York has chosen to bring its policy
in line with the U.S. Constitution. We are glad that our lawyers
were successful in their endeavor to help N.Y. officials properly interpret
the Establishment Clause. We hope that Christians who have followed our
case will be encouraged by this news and take advantage of the newly
issued N.Y. state policy. We'd like to thank our lawyers at
the Alliance Defense Fund who fought for our freedoms...and
won.
(Because N.Y. has changed its
unconstitutional policy, we see no reason to pursue them legally and have
agreed to drop our lawsuit.)
